Events listed on this post may include things like injuries that cross calendar months, college courses, selected actual “real-life” events that transpired that year, etc. I’m listing these type of events in one location since they are not specific full blown missions.

January 29th – Highlander & Mystery Man – Hong Kong

July 1st. – Rache no longer lost in space!

July 10th – J.C., Delta, Redfire, & Wraith all out of college.

September 11th – Reaper can hear!

October 2nd – Delta can hear!

October 3rd – Delta in college 9 weeks.

October 16th – Highlander out of college.

December 5th. – Delta out of college

  • April 19, Federal agents besiege Texas Branch Davidian religious cult and 72 are killed in a fire as the standoff ends with a federal assault.
  • March 29, five arrested and sixth sought in bombing of the World Trade Center in New York.
  • June 5, 22 UN troops killed in Somalia.
  • October 5, China breaks nuclear test moratorium.

My character sheet has a note that says “Rob’s house in Germany on the Elbe.  Delta and Redfire get hit w/a stun grenade and Redfire’s eardrums get blown.”

The Queen of the Orient is a cruise ship owned by a company named “Jewel Lines”. Jewel Lines is a subsidiary of a parent company called Oriental Business Interests (OBI). The ship is due to arrive at Hong Kong from Tokyo, Japan on 2/14/93 @ 7:00 AM local time at pier 5. No cargo and only a skeleton crew. Once docked, the ship is scheduled to fuel, then leave port at 12:15 PM local time. Cruise for two hours then return to port.

April 16, 1993

Injuries: Speed till 5/15/93, Longshot till 5/15/93, Slick till 5/29/93, J.C. till 5/29/93, Highlander/Mystery Man/&Reaper healed on 5/30/93

Rescue mission for Highlander, Mystery Man, and Reaper. Agents recovered!! So on an interesting side note, I have a copy of Agent Mystery Man’s packing list in my mission file.  I also have a note on that list that says that the owner of the character, Mystery Man, declares that he is dead.  I also have a note that the owner of that character was moving across the country to another state so that may have influenced his comment at the time.  However, a check of the calendar reveals that Agent Mystery Man comes back on a mission in August of 1996. So. . .

This mission is related to three others (Swallow, Umbrella, & Vireo) that were previously run, mainly due to the location. In the briefing, there is a statement that some of the agents were there previously “in July 1991”. Again, this ties back to the date issues mentioned in the three previous related missions.

Notes:  Notes listed below for this mission can be found in the document “Plot II – Update 92-93”.

Stonewall Jackson Lake, West Virginia.  Ransom delivery.  Schuyler Colfax VI, direct descendant of the Vice President to U.S. Grant, hired agents to rescue his ten-year-old son, Schuyler Colfax VII.  To be used for exchange, if necessary, the agents were given the Grand Eagle sword [see Parts List].  Two Diamond thugs were present.  A dozen Flickers and two Flames were disguised as men, and with them was de Wolf.  The boy was found decapitated.  The sword is back in the hands of Colfax VI, who is resentful toward agents.

I have a note on my packing list that says “Sent note w/flowers to boys’ funeral.”

So this mission had lots of “fun” stuff going on.  On my character sheet, it has all kinds of interesting tidbits.  My reminder note of the mission was “My head’s in Mississippi, but my ears are scattered across the James River”.  I also have notes that say “Scrag the Wench” and “Sister” and “4 of Wands!!”.  This last reference, I believe was related to a group of NPC’s from Charles’ TS universe called ICON.
