  • January 3, 2020, a US drone strike was carried out near Baghdad International Airport that killed the powerful Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.  In response, Iran launched missile strikes against 2 US bases in Iraq and mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian airliner, killing all 176 people.
  • On January 31 – February 1, 2020, the UK formally withdrew from the European Union, aka Brexit.
  • On January 31, 2020, President Trump restricts entry from into US from China due to the cases of Covid 19 as the Pandemic begins to rapidly spread.
  • On March 12, 2020, President Trump restricts travel from 26 European countries to US.
  • On March 16, 2020, President Trump announced a plan of 15 days to slow the spread by shutting down all non-essential businesses, events, etc. Nations around the world began enacting travel restrictions and lock downs in fear of the Covid Pandemic. Very few countries did not totally lock down or were far less restrictive in their Covid restrictions. One of the more notable countries that did not lock down was Sweden.
  • Beginning on May 25, 2020 the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis, Minnesota police sparked protests/riots against “systemic racism” and police violence that boiled over to other areas around the US and even the world.  These protests/riots lasted throughout the summer and fall and were renewed over several other instances where police were involved in some sort of shooting or altercation with a person of color.
  • May 30, 2020, SpaceX launched it’s Crew Dragon capsule to transport 2 NASA astronauts to the International Space Station.  This was the first crewed orbital launch to lift off from the US since NASA retired the space shuttle fleet in 2011.
  • November 2020, Joe Biden was declared the winner of the US Presidential election.

This mission is aka “The President’s Module”.  All beginning agents are generally run through this mission. It came packaged as part of the Administrator’s Screen.  As to the location, “Pineton, Maine, a small town near the Canadian border.” “. . . suspicions have been drawn to Red Spruce, the 180-acre Worthington estate, outside Pineton.” There is no “Pineton, Maine”.  So in order to determine a reasonable location for this mission, looking on the map, there is a “Princeton, Maine” and it is near the Canadian border and also has a small airport. This location looks like a good one to pin on the map.

“Situated in a somewhat run-down section of a small neutral European town, has been known as the Hot Spot of the Cold War since the mid-1940’s.” This amazingly detailed and flexible mission was included in the box set of the original Top Secret game. Many agents were run through this mission.  The actual location was not exactly specified.  However, in trying to determine a decent place to pin on the map, due to the German & Russian language connection it would seem to be a good bet to randomly place this locale in a location on the “East” German side close to Czechoslovakia. Dresden, Germany is the location that I’ve chosen. Close to water for docks on map and proximity to Czechoslovakia.

Events listed on this post may include things like injuries that cross calendar months, college courses, and selected actual “real-life” events that transpired that year, etc. I’m listing these type of events in one location since they are not specific full blown missions.

  • Beginning in January, a cholera epidemic started in Peru and spread through most Latin American countries. This cholera epidemic is the first in a century and sickens at least 100,000 and kills more than 700 in South America.
  • February 9, A leak of radioactive water of a nuclear plant 220 miles west of Tokyo causes the plant to release 8% of the plant’s annual emissions in a single day
  • Iraq invades Kuwait in August 1990. On February 24, 1991, President George H.W. Bush orders the ground war to begin in Operation Desert storm. U.S. and coalition forces smash Saddam Hussein’s forces in only four days. On February 26, in a final act of destruction, the Iraqi army sets fire to over 500 Kuwaiti oil wells. Cease-fire ends war on April 3.
  • August 25, Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia win independence from USSR.

Apparently, the Knights, Gabrielle San Seville in particular, were dealing with some unknown man for an Oiled Parchment (hereafter referred to as #1), and possibly his ability to read it. Gabrielle had many armaments in her possession, including a small rocket, probably for dealing puposes, as well as a silver plated Luger with a Plate (#1). Luger was taken by Longshot. Manuel Escobar, Harwitch, and a woman known as Imile Drayonovich escaped from holding in an E.R.I.N. facility, and fled to Lean Le Clerc’s house. The house was assaulted [do you know what I mean by ASSAULTED?] and Escobar was killed. His Plate (#2) was mounted [do you know what I mean by MOUNTED?] on a Luger identical that of Plate #1. Went to Falchion College in Falchion, New York to check on Doctor Standish because of lack of communication. Found he was captured by what turned out to be the Knights of Shaemon and forced to translate books. Present was Mystery Woman. Standish was rescued and taken to Longshot’s New York apartment.
