Mission was to meet a Madi el-Fadah in Kings Dominion and escort him any information he has to a nearby temporary safehouse.  According to my notes, some terrorists show up as well as a team of SDECE agents.  The information leads the agents to a farm near Fredericksburg, Virginia.

One of the big storylines our group followed in the early days was about a top 10 list of Arms Buyers.  This particular mission was the culmination of several other missions where the PC’s worked towards getting the #1 Arms Buyer, James Price Murchison. The time finally came and this mission was a two-parter.  The first part was to attend a business luncheon at a place called Regent Hotel in Dallas, Texas.  This was to establish who he was and what he looks like.  The agency was unable to get a current picture of this guy as he always went out of his way to avoid photos.  The second phase was to attack his massive estate. The map of this estate is what is attached to this entry.

This Chauncey mission was a prelude to the following mission, Code Name: Goliath.  Agents were to go to a secret laboratory in Sweden belonging to the #1 Arms Buyer.  Goal was to steal any important documents, obtain information, & if necessary cease the operations of the base.  From the looks of the map and accompanying information, this mission looks to be one where Agent Dogman said his famous line about getting his share while scooping up cash.  This mission also was the first introduction of an exotic weapon called Californium Bullets.  From this mission forward for my missions, I frequently tried to add a mission line that said something like “obtain any exotic weapons”.

Operation: Messiah Stone

The agents were instructed to go to Rome, Italy to meet a contact who had information about undercover agents of WS Petroleum inside Chauncey Enterprises.  The contact wishes to meet at the Piazza of St. Peter in Vatican City at the obelisk.  For this mission I used a glorious map of Vatican City that I discovered inside of a National Geographic magazine.  Sadly, I can’t for the life of me lay hands on that map.  I have some very old National Geographic magazines but I don’t think I even have the one that had the map in the first place.  WS Petroleum was a rival agency of Chauncey Enterprises.  Oddly, my notes of this mission are very sparse.  I just remember the agents and myself had a good time and it was intense.

The operation name is derived from a book that many of us read at the time.

 

Operation: Lager

Location: Mobile, Alabama

Mission was to go to a building in Mobile and meet a contact who has information.  Once they get the information, they are to act on it.  Agents end up at a large encampment near Mobile out in the wild near a waterway.  They assault the encampment.

My documentation on this mission is really poor.  The effort looks to be one where someone else was to have run something and I ended up wanting to role play so bad that I literally threw something together on the spot.  From the looks of the notes I have, the mission involved lots of Mi-8 HIP helicopters and a camp.  Whoever ended up on this mission got to kill lot’s of NPC’s, which resulted in some nice XP and picked up some nice cash.

Mission was to protect a Tamil leader in India.  Agents had to use discretion in their choice of weapons.  My hand-written briefing notes say that the agents are advised that  the success of the mission depended on the agents’ ability to keep as low a profile as possible.  Followed by, in red ink, “No More Iranian Fiascoes!”
