Balbeck Jamahl’s house, Qatar. Mission to recover one piece of Home (#2). Balbeck turned out to be Pearl, and was killed before he could sever something of Longshot’s more vital than
his Uzi. Symbol of Power was taken by Highlander. Also found two identification pearls on Jamahl’s two right-hand men, an Israeli with 51/113, and a Black man with 41/112.
Along with Home piece, another Oiled Parchment (#2) was found. Piece in Highlander’s possession, and Parchment in Longshot’s.

I have a note on my character sheet that referred to this mission as “Rob’s Qatar Fortress”.

Ruby Shipping yards, Tirana, Albania. Mission to recover book Voyages to Oblivion by Istal Farok, which reputedly has a map of Shaemon’s voyage. It was sold to Kalter (thought to
be Ruby), and was in transit to Tunisia when we all thought it would be a good idea to steal it. Ruby’s henchman el Bacti was present, and killed. Special Guest Swordsman was none other
than McVie himself, accompanied by several of Parnell’s men. Some of the Fires showed [hereafter referred individually as “Flickers”] and had in their possession the Ruby symbol of
power and a sword book thought to have been lost at Alexandria. The first was taken by Longshot, and the second is floating. Voyages was returned to the original owner, Bhutan.

Injuries:Mystery Man till 2/1/92, Longshot & Wraith till 4/25/92, Highlander till 4/8/92

Operation: Oceania
Code Name: Swallow

Location: Singapore

Admin: Dave

Who?: Reaper, BC, Highlander, Longshot

Notes: Briefing

Injuries: not available

Mission was to obtain information on Jambi Batu and/or his activities; Rescue any E.R.I.C. or E.S.T.E.L.L.E. personnel; obtain any exotic weaponry. Agents were traveling by boat and had to slip off the boat and go in underwater and swim in.

This mission is the first of 3 (Swallow, Umbrella, & Vireo) that has close ties to each other. The dates and certain verbiage written in the mission briefings don’t exactly correspond properly. I think that this was due to when they were run in real time versus TS time and when the TS calendar was started. After digging into all data points extensively, as the admin of all of these missions, I have made some adjustments to more closely correspond to known data on the TS Calendar as well as the documents in my folders for each of these missions. In some cases, certain dates may not match the info in the briefing. However, I think that this research is more closely aligned to all of these missions from the early 1990’s.

Agents: Quantum, Highlander, Mystery Man

Notes:  Notes listed below for this mission can be found in the document “Plot II – Update 92-93”. The infamous episode where the BOOK was destroyed!!

Mari Bhutan’s Residence, Virovitica, Croatia.  Mission to recover book Voyages to Oblivion by Istal Farok again. Ran into McVie, who apparently had an auto accident fleeing from Tirana (1/15/92), and was hobbling around on a cane with a broken leg.  Agents were wise to his tricks, and shot him up.  He then fell off a four-story balcony.  The sword was not on his person.  The target book was destroyed by a grenade, and is therefore in nobody’s possession.

Injuries: Highlander till 4/8/92, Quantum & Mystery Man till 4/25/92

Agents: Reaper, Ishmael, Socrates, Delta, Longshot, Wraith, Highlander, Redfire, BC

Notes: Briefing

Injuries: Delta till 6/1/92, Longshot till 6/15/91, Wraith till 6/15/91, Highlander till 6/15/91, Redfire till 6/10/91, B.C. till 7/29/91

On my character sheet for this mission, I have a note that this was an attempt at the record kill amount.  The mission briefing has a typo in the year of the mission.  It was 1992, not 1991.  Actually, the “real” time of the mission was in 1991.

Mental Asylum, Denmark.  Mission to abduct Pitor Crispo, one of the inmates, and reputedly the only man alive who knows what the map of Shaemon looked like.  Asylum ran by Flickers, who had bows with special exploding and incendiary arrows.  Killed the Fire of Roelant.  Recovered target.

Operation: Harbor Lights
Code Name: Umbrella

Location: Singapore

Agents: Quantum, Wraith, Highlander, Jester, Redfire

Notes: Briefing

Injuries:Highlander up to 8/19/92

Mission was run in 2 successive months. Missions included obtaining any information on Jambi Batu and/or his activities, rescue any E.R.I.N. or E.S.T.E.L.L.E. personnel, neutralize the site from any future activities, and obtain any unusual or exotic weaponry. As the mission took 2 days to run, I believe that some people were not able to play on both nights.

This mission is the second of 3 (Swallow, Umbrella, & Vireo) that has close ties to each other. The dates and certain verbiage written in the mission briefings don’t exactly correspond properly.
