Operation: not known
Code Name: not known

Location: El Cid, Segovia, Spain

Admin: Rob

Agents: Longshot, Wraith, Highlander, Delta, and Mystery Man

Notes: Notes listed below for this mission can be found in the document “Plot II – The Wrath of Sean”. Cathedral of El Cid, Segovia, Spain. Mission to recover Dr. Standish, either by force, deception, or ransom. Highlander met with Danielle Hughes’ look-alike secretary, Steven Harwitch, and Sean McVie, who had the Sword with five Plates in it. Also appearing were members of the Cat’s Claw, an Oriental assassin’s group, apparently there to back up the Knights. In addition, a group of Arabs, who were probably with the Gem Lords, shot it out with the Knights. Standish was recovered and nothing was given up. Date taken from “Plot II – The Wrath of Sean” and no specific day was provided. Just month/year. Since there was 4 September events, I’m listing them in the order they appear on the Plot document.

Operation: Sheik V
Code Name: none assigned

Location: ?

Admin: Steve P.

Who?: Highlander, Delta, Mystery Man, Reaper

Notes: none available

Injuries: not available

This is it!!! This is the mission that the all time kill record was set.  The record obtained was 4,336 killed and it still stands today.  Steve’s “Sheik” missions were always great fun to play. Intense, lots of firepower, cool things to acquire (Delta got an Apache helicopter on this one!), and got to use a ton of crap off of your packing list!  Those were the days.

Operation Judas Squad

Operation: Judas Squad
Code Name: none assigned

Location: Nuclear power plant @ Wansach Island, Massachusetts

Admin: Rob

Who?: Rache, Dogman, Highlander, “Mike”

Notes: Briefing

Injuries: not available

Mission is to assassinate the listed 12 terrorists, oh, and rescue the “besieged nuclear reactor”.  This mission, if I recall correctly, was pretty intense. I apologize for the non-clean copy of The Judas Squad members.  I have no idea of who “Mike” was.

CarlislePA

Operation: none assigned
Code Name: none assigned

Location: Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Admin: Dave

Who?: Highlander, Longshot

Notes: not available

Injuries: not available

Mission was to go to Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  Agents are to go to a bar called Gaul’s.  They were to look for a contact named Jarrod Hannekamp.  He was to meet the agents at that location at 9:00AM.  (Yeah, I know. A little early to be drinking.) If he doesn’t show, there are other locations and dedicated times they are to meet him at around Carlisle.  The agents are to recover Jarrod and bring him in.  Just another little side mission in between bigger events.

Penguin

Operation: South of the Border
Code Name: Penguin

Location: Lima, Peru

Admin: Dave

Who?: Highlander, Ice, Wild Dog, Bubbles, Ishmael, & Shadow

Notes: Briefing

Injuries: not available

Mission was to go to Peru, recover any survivors of a plane crash.  As part of this mission, they had to attend a lavish black tie affair at the home of Manuel de Corumba and obtain any information about the crash and/or any survivors.

On this briefing, I left the little diagram I did of the table we were sitting at and where the players were sitting.  I believe that Charles & I traveled clear down to St. Mary’s county near a naval base to visit friends of his from his days at college when he used to play TS with them.  I didn’t really know these people.  However, it was one of the very rare times we had an actual female at the gaming session!  I believe she was the girlfriend of one of the players but I don’t remember who.  I don’t remember specifics about her I just have a general memory that she was a very attractive young lady.  Oh, her character was Bubbles; not Wild Dog.

Kestrel

Operation: Durga
Code Name: Kestrel

Location: Munich, West Germany > Calcutta, India

Admin: Dave

Who?: Highlander, Reaper, Brent (Dogman), Jim Webb, Jerry B., Crista T.

Notes: Briefing

Injuries: not available

Mission was to gather in West Germany and meet a contact & obtain a package from them.  Then they were to go to Calcutta, India where they would seek out some sort of operations base at specified coordinates.  Turns out that the contact passes to the agents a concentrated formula that when added to an insecticide system and spread over a poppy field, will kill all plants. It is disguised as a 12 oz bottle of Pepsi.  The base they are to go to in India is a drug manufacturing facility.

Extra interesting note on this mission is the location; West Germany.  This gives a clue to how long ago this mission was run in “real time”.  The mission likely had to be run before November 1991 in real time since that was when the Berlin Wall fell.

October 2, 1991

Operation: not known
Code Name: not known

Location: Spokane, Washington USA

Admin: Rob

Agents: Longshot, Wraith, Highlander, and Mystery Man

Notes: Notes listed below for this mission can be found in the document “Plot II – The Wrath of Sean”. Original starting point of the calendar.

Center for Cultural Development, Spokane, Washington.  Mission to recover special weapons captured from Longshot, Reaper, and Speed on a previous mission [which we won’t talk
about]. These included the twin silver-plated Lugers with Plates #1 & 2. Of course, everybody and their uncle went for it. Representing the Gem Lords, some thugs under Emerald
managed to get away with one of the Lugers (we don’t know which one). Of the Knights, Hernandez was captured by agents, questioned and killed. He had a Plate (#3) mounted in a
Thompson Contender, which was taken by Highlander.

Operation Caracas

Operation: Caracas
Code Name: Intec

Location: 100 miles into the hills near Caracas, Venezuela

Operation-Caracas

Operation-Caracas

Admin: Dave

Who?: Highlander

Notes: not available

Injuries: not available

Agent Highlander was hired by an agency called DSMO. In our TS gaming world, we all had several different agencies we frequently dealt with.  Chauncey, DSMO, & E.R.I.N. were generally considered the “good” guys.  On the other side were agencies such as W.S. Petroleum, ICON, The Four Horseman, Lords of Quarmal, The Fires of Roelant, Oriental Business Interests (OBI), and others.

This mission was about counterfeit Inca relics showing up on the market and being passed for genuine.  DSMO investigators tracked the trail back to an area 100 miles outside of Caracas, Venezuela.  The person they believe was in charge of this operation was Maria Hessley, daughter of a very rich Venezuelan oil magnet named James Hessley.  The oil business that Mr. Hessley operated had a sudden and unexplained collapse and Mr. Hessley disappeared. They had a huge estate on the top of a mountain in the general area of the suspected activity.  Agent Highlander was sent to deal with this issue.  The map from the estate is what is with this post.  Turns out that this mission was the first any of us have done a clean assassination.  Shortly before this mission, another agent tried to accomplish this feat in Indianapolis but failed.  On a side note, sometimes administrators need to be adept at dodging flying projectiles.

Operation Heathcliff

Operation: Heathcliff
Code Name: Gover

Location: Gila, New Mexico

Operation-Heathcliff

Operation-Heathcliff

Admin: Dave

Who?: Highlander, Longshot, & Sam Gangee

Notes: not available

Injuries: not available

This mission was the very first one I ran.  Chauncey Enterprises had a silver mine in Gila, New Mexico.  A mysterious mine cave in had occurred that sealed the mine.  Soon after, another business operation called Vin Packaging sprung up across the Gila River approximately 2 miles away that was producing packing materials.  A trucking accident thereafter on one of the plant’s trucks, police recovered a small silver bar.  Suspicious of the new plant, Chauncey hires agents to go into the area and investigate what happened and to shut it down.  This mission became famous for players understanding about going into a mission during daylight hours versus at night.  The original map of that first mission is with this post.

So although I did not write down the agents code names, I do have the players names written down.  Since this was so long ago I am making an educated guess as to the characters that the players played.

Location: Caribbean?

Admin: Rob

Who?: Not known for sure. Rob seems to think the players were Charles, Dave, and someone else.

Notes: House Interior

Injuries: not available

This entry reflects Rob’s first mission.  It was definitely run in the “Pre-Calendar” days. Rob estimates that it was run in the middle 1980’s (real time) sometime. These maps were graciously provided by Rob and I wanted to preserve them here.
